This policy covers Vidsmith for Android and iPhone, provided by Xiaoshan Chu. Contact: cxsandr@gmail.com.
Video editing and export happen on your device. Vidsmith does not upload your videos, photos or audio to developer-operated servers for processing. It accesses the media you select and creates local working files and exports. When you choose Share, the selected app can receive your exported file; that app's privacy practices apply. System photo or backup services may also handle your media under your own settings.
The app stores preferences, export counters and purchase-entitlement status locally. Temporary processing files are cleared as part of app cleanup. Saved gallery exports remain until you delete them using your device's controls. Removing the app does not necessarily remove files you saved to your gallery.
When enabled, Google Analytics for Firebase processes app interactions, sessions, tool selections, export results and error categories, processing times, file sizes, paywall interactions and purchase-related events. This does not include media content. Automatic events include first-launch, screen-view and engagement information. The SDK also processes app-instance identifiers, device and app information, and approximate location derived from IP addresses. These identifiers can associate events with an app installation: the data should not be understood as completely anonymous.
We use analytics to understand product usage and improve reliability and usability. Vidsmith does not display advertising or use these events for advertising personalization. Google receives analytics data over encrypted connections. See Firebase privacy information and Google's Privacy Policy for its processing, including processing in countries other than your own.
Android 1.0 with the consent prompt: on a fresh installation, the app's analytics collection setting starts off. Selecting Allow analytics enables optional usage analytics; the app applies your choice through Firebase's collection and consent controls. Declining does not restrict app features, purchasing or restoration. You can change your choice in Settings.
Earlier Android test versions: analytics is enabled by default and can be turned off in Settings. This paragraph describes those older versions, not the fresh-install behavior of Android 1.0 with the consent prompt.
Current iPhone version: analytics is enabled by default. You can turn it off using the usage-data switch in Settings. This switch controls Analytics, not the separate Crashlytics and Remote Config services described below.
Turning the switch off disables optional analytics collection through Firebase's controls. It does not itself erase data already received by Google. Your choice does not disable the app store's own purchase processing or reporting.
The iPhone app also uses Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose crashes and Remote Config to retrieve app configuration. These services can process installation identifiers, device/app information and, for Crashlytics, crash traces and diagnostic information. They operate separately from the analytics switch. The Android version described here does not include these two services.
Apple or Google Play processes payments. The app uses purchase and entitlement information to unlock Pro and restore purchases, independently of analytics. We do not receive your payment-card details. Store transaction records are governed by the store's policies; disabling analytics or removing Vidsmith does not cancel a subscription.
Our Analytics property is configured to retain event-level data for 2 months and user-level data for 14 months. New activity resets the retention period for user identifiers. These settings do not generally limit standard aggregated reports and are not a promise that every record is removed on the same day.
For the iPhone services, Firebase states that Crashlytics keeps crash traces and associated identifiers for 90 days before beginning removal from live and backup systems. Remote Config installation identifiers are retained until a deletion request is made through the Firebase API. These are separate from Analytics retention settings.
You may contact cxsandr@gmail.com to request information, access or deletion, or to raise a privacy concern. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to correction, objection, restriction, portability and to complain to a data-protection authority.
Vidsmith has no app account linking your email to an installation. We may need additional information to identify relevant records and verify a request; we will explain what can be located or deleted. Do not send passwords, payment-card details or private videos. Store-held records and data received by a sharing app may need to be requested from that provider. Emails you send us include your address and message and are used to respond to your inquiry. We retain correspondence only as needed to handle the request, meet applicable legal obligations or resolve a dispute. The app has no account-deletion screen and no automatic tool for deleting Analytics records for an installation. An email address alone does not identify such records; if we cannot locate them, we will explain that limitation rather than claim they were deleted.
Vidsmith is not directed at children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information. Material changes to our practices will be reflected in this policy, and additional consent will be sought where required.

iPhone 应用另外使用 Firebase Crashlytics 诊断崩溃、Remote Config 获取应用配置，可能处理安装标识、设备和应用信息， 以及崩溃堆栈和诊断信息。这两项服务独立于统计开关。本文所述 Android 版本没有集成这两项服务。
付款由 Apple 或 Google Play 处理。应用使用购买及权益信息解锁 Pro 和恢复购买，不依赖使用统计。 我们不接收支付卡详细资料。商店交易记录按商店政策处理；关闭统计或卸载 Vidsmith 不会取消订阅。
当前 Analytics 属性的事件级数据保留时间为 2 个月，用户级数据为 14 个月；新活动会重置用户标识的保留期限。 这些设置通常不限制标准聚合报表，也不代表所有记录都在同一天删除。

Vidsmith 不面向 13 岁以下儿童。如你认为儿童向我们提供了个人信息，请联系我们。 数据处理方式发生实质变化时，我们会更新本政策，并在适用要求下另行征求同意。
