TileMath Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 21, 2026

Data stored on your device

Your calculation history and app settings (units, language, appearance, currency symbol) are saved only on your device. You can delete all history at any time with "Clear all" on the History screen. TileMath has no accounts and no servers of its own.

Advertising

TileMath shows banner ads served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect device information such as your IP address, general device data, ad interaction data, and — only if you allow tracking — your device's advertising identifier (IDFA). We do not collect or see this data ourselves; it is processed by Google under Google's Privacy Policy. A list of Google's certified ad partners is available here.

Analytics and crash reporting

TileMath uses Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics to understand how the app is used and to fix crashes. These collect app events (for example: that a calculation was completed, which layout pattern was chosen, how long the keypad stayed open, whether the language or unit setting was changed, and whether a purchase was started or restored), an app instance identifier, device model, operating system version, and an approximate region derived from your IP address. Crash reports include diagnostic information about the state of the app when it stopped working.

We do not collect the values you type. Room dimensions, tile sizes and prices never leave your device — a completed calculation is recorded only as a broad size range, never as the measurements themselves. This data is processed by Google under Google's Privacy Policy.

In-app purchases

You can remove ads with a one-time purchase. The transaction is handled entirely by the App Store or Google Play — we never see your payment details. Your device stores only a marker recording that the purchase was made, so that ads stay off.

Your choices

Tracking (iOS): when first asked, you can choose "Ask App Not to Track". You can change this anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. If you decline, ads remain but are not personalized.

EEA/UK users: on first launch you will be asked for consent under GDPR. Your choice controls both advertising and analytics — if you decline, analytics collection is switched off as well. You can change your choice anytime via "Privacy options" in the app's Settings.

Everyone: removing ads with the one-time purchase also stops the advertising SDK from being started at all.

Children

TileMath is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Your rights

Depending on your region (e.g., GDPR in the EEA, CCPA in California), you may have rights to access or delete personal data. Advertising, analytics and crash data are processed by Google; see the links above. For anything else, contact us.
